The Shimanami Sea Route is open to not only motor cars
but also cyclists and pedestrians. It is only route of its kind in Japan.
You can enjoy the picturesque dark blue sea and clear blue sky while cycling.

breeze that passes through the strait, this SUNRISE ITOYAMA is an ideal
starting point for your sightseeing pleasure. We have 415 rental bicycles
available, an accommodation facility, and souvenir shops open for your
satisfaction.

To Imabari city in the Ehime prefecture - Onomichi city in the Hiroshima prefecture is approximately 80 km by bicycle.
Generally you can ride the whole route in 6 - 8 hours. As for the islands of the area along the route, the romance of many traditions and the water forces endures.
This cycling course has been set mainly for your enjoyment.
From the aerial walk "Kurushima strait Ohashi" to the long cycling
